Loren is a cherished friend and trusted colleague. His wisdom draws from great depths of being rooted in the land and aligned with the four directions. Through his playfulness and curiosity he shares space that invites grounding and orientation. I recognize his gifts in navigating challenging territory with palpable grace and compassion. He is a carrier of medicine.

We first came together through our shared studies in the PAT Graduate Certificate Program at Vancouver Island University, where Loren brought not only wisdom but presence—rooted, still, and grounded in culture and responsibility. Learning alongside him was more than academic; it was a journey of the heart and spirit. His care is unwavering, his spirit deeply aligned with his cultural traditions, and his ability to create a safe, heart-led container for clients is something I’ve witnessed firsthand and deeply trust. He weaves together spiritual, emotional, and cultural care in a way that is so needed in this work.

I'm 61 years old and I finally feel like I can move forward and live in a peaceful state because of therapy. I was abused and beaten and abandoned by my family and I hated and fought with everyone and everything. Loren Sahara was the guidance and counseling I needed to change myself and to look at things from a different perspective and to finally forgive myself and others around me.

Loren Sahara is a caring, thoughtful, and non-judgmental person. Having done much of his own work, he understands how difficult it can be to feel vulnerable. He has the capacity to hold space for healing and integration and understands that communication goes far beyond words.

For many years Loren taught with our organization. I will always remember him as someone who used humour, and patience as guiding forces in his circles. Most memorably, he created space for people to be themselves, whatever form that took.

Loren is cultural, spiritual, and deeply grounded. His calming presence puts people at ease, and I value his gentle, kind, and genuine personality. With many years of experience teaching, learning, and supporting others on their wellness journeys, he brings both wisdom and compassion to the work he does.
