Directly relating to present, past and future, there are many layers to these questions and the answers are revealed through the exploration of both simple and complex layers of your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual life that reinforce beliefs, choices, behaviors, feelings and experiences. The meaning of life is an ongoing interpretation of your relationships in everyday experiences through the stories in your head (psychological) that play out through your emotions (sensors for meeting needs), which are then expressed, or suppressed in your body’s (somatic) wiring, reacting or responding. And in the background, before interpretations and meaning making, your energy/spiritual expression is the power source of it all.
In relation to suffering, from trauma and or other difficult experiences, your negative thoughts and thinking process (story) that form beliefs, and trigger emotions that signal actions from your meaning making, and your physical body responds or reacts to, and expresses these thoughts and emotions through your systems of genetics, nerves, neurochemicals, organs, hormones, muscles and bones etc. (Wiring).
This process of conditioning over time becomes automatic, on autopilot. Leaving you struggling and confused. Along with your senses, as instruments to navigate experiences, you are gathering information/data and your story and wiring have a direct impact on every moment in relationship connection, or disconnection, with who you think you are, who others are, your social and physical environments, the culture you live and work in, your values and beliefs, and your behaviors activated by these ongoing collaborating experiences. And, often overlooked and underdeveloped, at your core, the center of it all, is the relationship with your spiritual, energy life source practises and rituals.
